street fashionistas
09.04.2008Three's A Crowd hit the streets of Oxford Circus in search of this season's most fashionable pieces. With key Spring trends in mind we went on the hunt for nautical stripes, military wear, the colour purple, and all things floral.
Hints of romance were in the air, as we witnessed a ton of ruffles, lace, and just plain pretty dresses. Others rocked a harder look, holding onto the blacks of winter dressing along with leather jackets and ripped tights. Animal prints, as always, seemed to sneak into several outfits, and bomber jackets were replaced with the more tailored look of a blazer. As the clocks have sprung forward and the sun came out, the layers seemed to peel off and reveal a new take on spring style.
We asked random street fashionistas who their style icons were, and we heard a range of answers, from Agyness Deyn and Kate Moss to Keira Knightly. But most people seemed to rely on themselves and their own creative bent for inspiration, rather than the chased after and quickly passing trends.
Whether from a bin in a charity shop or a high priced boutique, an eclectic mix of pieces were brought together in a way that made each person stand out from the busy crowds. From the bright, red lips of a woman named Echo to the hot pink painted nails of another girl, fashion seemed to be a thing of ease in this suddenly warm weather.

I like Echo's style and Holly's nail polish.
