Forget the mud-fest that is festival season this weekend and go for some pure unadulterated indulgence.

Friday is for shimmying your way over to The Gore Hotel for their fabulous Burlesque Evening. Miss Polly Rae and the Hurly Burly Girlies, London's hottest Burlesque act, will be all singing and all dancing at this beautiful theatrical venue set within a Victorian Townhouse.

The evening kicks of at 8pm and stays open till 1am with the ladies performing at intervals between 9.30 and midnight. You don't have to dress up but we recommend you do as there will be a flurry of satin gloves, corsets and red lips so really there's no excuse not to.

On Saturday don a hat and head over to the Landau restaurant at the Langham hotel for afternoon tea and free flowing champagne. Ascot may be over but that hat sitting in your hat box doesn't want to wait another year to come out.

This is the final weekend where any lady coming to lunch or afternoon tea in the Landau, wearing a suitably elegant hat will be treated to complimentary Laurent Perrier champagne throughout.

So, enjoy Head Chef Andrew Turner's seasonal delights; such as poached shelfish in lobster sauce and French lemon tart with vanilla sorbet, or have traditional afternoon tea. Just make sure you keep your hat on.

Aah Sunday - the day of rest. Burlesque dancing and champagne drinking is all well and good but you need to take a day to rejuvenate for the week ahead. That's not to say you should sit at home and watch the Eastenders omnibus. Spend the day rejuvinating Sex and the City Style and head out for a treatment or two. We love the K West Hotel for a super indulgent mani-pedicure and facial.

Or stay at home and have your own mini-spa with a hot bath and a luxurious face mask. Korres have a tasty range of honey masks and, if you haven't quite had enough of cocktails yet, indulge in their very sumptuous summer cocktail shower gels including our favourite: the Ginger Cosmopolitan. Yum.
