TAC - Were you worried about getting injured?

SF - On the way in, no not really. Obviously we were aware of the dangers; it's just like any sport.

I actually ended up breaking my back. I broke one of the little bones that comes off your spinal cord. Breaking it's kinda like breaking a rib; there's not really anything you can about it. I had a massage therapist come in everyday and massage the muscles around it. I actually didn't realise I'd broken it till two weeks afterwards because my back just locked up on me and I couldn't walk.

TAC - Wanna see something cool?

SF - Ohhh man, what's that from – a martial arts injury?

TAC - Yep

SF - Ayeyaiyai! I don't know how cool that is! Arthroscopic surgery? Oh man, the knee is such a painful thing!

They gave me a bunch of pain killers and I survived!

The fight scenes took about a month. Half to two-thirds of the shoot was all about the fight scenes and what was left over was dialogue. We wouldn't just zip through but we'd definitely moved through that stuff a lot faster than everything else. We devoted about four days of filming to the mansion fight and about a whole week to the big fight at the end.

I ended up training for about three months total. My character had so many other fights in the movie other than main ones, like the one on the football field and the hummer fight. That fight I actually learned about three days before filming it and that was really tough because it involved three people.

So for a few weeks leading up to it, those guys would come and see me at lunch and we'd start to walk through different parts of it because it's like a dance, so three minutes here, thirty minutes here, it all adds up. And weekends too.

I put on 15 pounds leading up the movie and I lost 17 pounds by the end of shooting.

TAC - You're 25 now?

SF - I just turned 26
