Gone Too Far!
Back by popular demand, Gone Too Far! returns to the Royal Court, this time being showcased in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs (after a sell-out run upstairs). A comic and vibrant tale, it tells of two brothers from different continents who head off to buy a pint of milk, and simultaneously uncover a disunited nation where everyone wants to be an individual but no one wants to stand out from the crowd. Bola Agbaje's perceptive play about identity, history and culture depicts a world where respect is always demanded but rarely freely given.
Until 9 August, Royal Court, Sloane Square SW1. Box office 020 7565 5000

On The Rocks
Literary fans will fall under the spell of this new comedy by Amy Rosenthal, starring Ed Stoppard and Tracy-Ann Oberon. Drifting back to 1916, we watch as D H Lawrence and his wife Frieda begin a new life in the remote Cornish village of Zennor. Rejuvenated by the wild beauty around them, they persuade close friends Katherine Mansfield and John Middleton Murry to join them in their idyll. But no sooner have they arrived than trouble starts to brew, and Lawrence’s dream of communal living starts unravelling before his eyes. An uplifting and passionate comedy, the run has been extended until 2 August.
Hampstead Theatre, Eton Avenue, NW3. Box office 020 7722 9301
