Sweet and Cheesy
13.06.2008A brief ode to tom with whom I had dinner with last night. I met tom on masterchef and we have since become good friends.
At least that's what he thinks - really I just steal his recipes. All two of them. You may think this recipe sounds really bizarre but it's actually delicious.
It's not even a recipe really, just an assembly job. You can serve this as an appetizer, just pop it down in the middle of the table while your guests wait for their chow. You could also bulk it out into a first course, but more on that later.
Parmesan with Honey and Black Pepper
This recipe does only have three ingredients, so do spend the extra and get really good stuff.
Ingredients
50g of Parmesan per person
teaspoon of honey per person
loads of black pepper
Take a big white plate. Crumble the parmesan into pieces no larger than 1 centimetre across; you should end up with craggy bits of varying sizes. Drizzle over the honey,
To turn this into a first course, you could serve it with some watercress, some quartered figs and a honey vinaigrette.
