04.07.2008The first Unconditional + store opens its brand new shiny doors today in Covent Garden, bang next to the Covent Garden Hotel (shop, get some lunch, shop some more, get a cocktail – it works).
Expect beautifully designed womens and menswear, plus a small collection of homeswear and a few other select labels. So, who's been wearing Unconditional then? Anyone from Brad Pitt, Adrien Brody, David Beckham, Jude Law, to Mika, David Bowie, rockers Depeche Mode, The Rolling Stones, Kasabian and The Feeling,plus Gwen Stefani, Duffy, Kelis, Cameron Diaz and Madonna – that's a whole lot of celebrity in one sentence. Launched in 2003 by designer Philip Stephens, the current range features muted colour palettes with a perfect mix of basics in fine cottons and merino wool and signature pieces in silk and cashmere. This month, the 22 year-old British-born actress, who found fame with US teen drama The OC, launches her own range of luscious handbags.
