Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller lit up the Edinburgh International Film Festival yesterday as they laughed and posed together for the world premiere of their new film Edge of Love.

The two starlets got together for a photo call earlier that day and then glammed up for the evening's premiere. In the film the two vye for the affections of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, played by Matthew Rhys but yesterday all eyes were on them.

The film which is out this week sees Knightley deliver another stellar performance but it is Miller who really surprised critics with her outstanding performance as Caitlin, Thomas's wife.

Edge of Love is scripted by Knightley's mother, playwright Sharman Macdonald, who originally imagined her daughter in the Caitlin role.

But Knightley insisted she was pleased with the result saying: "I couldn't have done it as well as Sienna has done it."
