Singles Rundown
22.01.2008Every week Three's A Crowd give you the low-down on some of the newest single releases. It’s a quiet one this week but we do see a couple of up and comers, a comeback kid and a song about toenails.
Adele - Chasing Pavements
Tipped as THE one to watch in 2008 Adele is already guaranteed a Brit award. You will have heard this playing on pretty much every radio station with most people's ears perking up when they hear it and wondering who is this? We love this song and Adele's soulful voice and can't wait for the album.
Jay Sean - Ride It
We haven't heard much out of this guy since 2004 where his first two singles reached the top ten. Despite being dropped by Virgin Records two years ago Jay Sean is back with a sexy R&B track. Although not quite as original as Jay's debut singles, Ride It is still a smooth track which we think will mark a bit of a comeback for Jay.
Wu Tang Clan - The Heart Gently Weeps
It looks like the bad boy rappers have gone a bit soft on us. They've sampled the Beatles' While My Guitar Gently Weeps with Erykah Badu's soft harmonies while rapping about murder and dope over the top. It's not bad but doesn't quite work and fans may find it all a little too 'pretty' for their liking.
Kid Sister feat Kanye West - Pro Nails
A song about getting your fingernails and toenails done. Yes really. Say no more.
