DIZZEE RASCAL FT. CALVIN HARRIS - DANCE WIV ME

It starts off sounding like it was made in a basement and should be played on pirate radio stations with MCs saying “hold tight” over the top. But the combination of the two unlikely vocals mixed in with a solid dance beat and pumping bass turns this into a hit. If you're not a Dizzee fan this track won't convert you but for fans, this is a reminder of why this kid is still making waves in the music industry.

JORDIN SPARKS FT. CHRIS BROWN - NO AIR

Remember when we lost faith in reality TV star search programmes? Well, it's not just Leona Lewis who's making us eat our words. American Idol winner Jordin Sparks who has some serious pipes on her and is collaborating with RnB golden boys to create big shmoozy RnB ballads. The lyrics to No Air are punch-in-the-face obvious, the song is melodramatic and cheesy but it works and we love it. Leona's still winning but Miss Sparks is giving her a run for her money in the Diva stakes.

MADONNA - GIVE IT TO ME

Collaborating with men of the moment Timberland and Tmberlake made the latest dance-floor -friendly incarnation of Madge our favourite since the 80s. Unfortunately Give It 2 Me is nowhere near as catchy as Four Minutes. This time she's collaborated with another super-producer Pharrell Williams but rather than getting everyone on the dance floor this song will be the one that clears it. Give It 2 Me has remnants of Kylie's Slow and is just about as boring. Next.

N.E.R.D – EVERYBODY NOSE

When they're not producing for the best in the business Pharell Williams and Chad Hugo have N.E.R.D, their rocky side project which allows them to produce whatever the hell they want. Everybody Nose is the first single from the new album and it's hardcore beats, and quirky rhythm set the base for lyrics which have a dig at the Hollywood party scene. It's no Lapdance but, like the rest of the album, it grows on you.
