Sale Away
02.01.2008It’s that time of year where deciding what to buy is a little bit tricky. We’re still loving the Winter look and can’t seem to stop buying chunky boots, thick tights and skinny jeans. The abundance of skirts, waistcoats and shorts in this winter’s black has certainly been welcome.
But it’s nearly spring (ok not really but let’s be a tad optimistic) and the fashion world is well and truly abuzz with the delicacies this spring will be bringing with sheer fabrics and stripes calling to us already.
With all these great sales on (they really are good this year) it can be a bit tricky deciding what style to go with so here's a little help with getting the best from the racks at this rather troublesome time of year.
Colour wise the shops may still be covered in dark greys and blacks but soon bright neon colours will be taking over so unless you want to fade into the crowd steer clear of the moodier shades for now.
The good news is purple is still riding high. The regal colour is not ready to hang up its crown yet so this is one colour that is perfect for most of the year so keep on buying it.
Ultimately there is one item that you simply cannot go wrong with - The little doesn’t-have-to-be-black dress. It’s still chilly outside obviously but fat tights, yummy knits and big boots will keep you snug and when it’s time to get those legs out you can still wear your little dress with a pair of 'statement' shoes or if you’re brave enough to go for neon why not stick a pair of neon legs under your dress.
It’s the perfect time for picking out some bargains and although the shops may be emptying of all the best buys we’ve found some fabulous ones online at MyWardrobe.com.
We’ve picked out some of our favourite dresses, pictured above. These will get you through winter in style and you won’t have to throw these pretty little numbers out come March.
Ba&sh Black Silk dress (bottom right) £108.50 (down from £155.00)
