SATC London Style

It's brought it all back hasn't it. The outfits, the glamour, the gossip, the naughtiness. The Sex and the City Movie has rekindled our love affair with all things kooky and kinky and we're grabbing our three best girl friends and pretending we are Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte all over again.

And you don't have to jump on a plane and head off to the big apple to do things SATC style as luxury hotel and spa K West has come up with their very own Sex and the City Package which gives you and your Mr Big the opportunity to do things SATC style for the night. I took my Mr Big to try it out and see if I felt suitably Carrie-like.

Arriving at the hidden hotel your car is valet parked NY style, which is the next best thing to jumping out of a yellow cab, and then you enter the minimalist, clean and bright reception. I was surrounded by a mixed crowd of quirky musicians, ladies who lunch and a selection of fashion types. I felt suitably chic as I checked in for my stay.

The package involves a night in the hotel's gorgeous K Suite. The suite has a spacious living area , bedroom and bathroom which are all separated by glass panels meaning that even though you have your space there is nowhere to hide, perfect for the exhibitionist in you. The spacious bath and shower are also fabulously indulgent but for the Samantha in you the highlight has to be the “Nookii Drawers” with four saucy packs including “Ooh La La Rabbit” and “Slap & Tickle.” Or for those who are a bit more reserved there's the “Beginner's Collection.”

Whether or not you take advantage of these little extras something has to be said for the bed which is a giant squashy piece of heaven. It really is. And seeing as the package includes breakfast in bed with a glass of champagne there really is no need to get out of it.

I did get out of it briefly though to sip on champagne while getting a signature manicure and pedicure, to compliment my Manolos of course. The Manolos don't come with the package but a one hour treatment and unlimited access to the spa facilities including jacuzzi, sauna, gym and power pilates (very Miranda) do.
