The Arctic Monkies are looking to sweep the floor at the NME awards but Amy Winehouse may be leaving with nothing but two awards she’d rather not get.

Winehouse has been nominated in the “Villain of the year category” and faces big competition from President George Bush and Tony Blair.

The bouffant haired one, who is currently in rehab is also up for “worst dressed” with Pete Doherty.

Winehouse was also nominated for best music DVD and best solo artist, a near snub for someone nominated for six Grammys.

The Arctic Monkeys fared far better after a record seven nominations. The Sheffield band were nominated for a best British band, best live band, best album, best track, best video.

It’s not all about the music though with singer Alex Turner nominated for the best dressed award.

The band were really hoping to win the live award as guitarist Jamie cook said that this last year has seen them put a lot of work into their live gigs.
