I also thought that Spamalot was a great time. I laughed so hard throughout most of it, and just thought it was fantastic. It does make sense though that it was Alan Dale's first night taking the lead role. From the beginning I noticed his dancing and movements were pretty stiff, and his sing wasn't as good as it could have been. But I did love every scene he spoke in. His voice was great as the king and his duets with Lady of the Lake were really good.
Her voice was just incredible, and her range enviable. She definitely stole the show with her sining ability and attitude.
I took my two guy friends to the show, because they're guys and I wasn't too sure what type of musicals they would be interested in. But this was absolutely a success and they laughed along the whole time. (One of them even quoting lines because he's watched the Monty Python and Holy Grail movie so many times.
I recommend this to anyone interested in having a lighthearted, fun night out full of laughs.
