When it comes to putting on your make-up, think elegant and subtle sensuality rather than full on, hot under the collar glamour. If you put too much make-up on you’ll only look like you’re trying to hard and there’ll be a distinct whiff of desperation. Use a pretty and shimmering bronzer to lift the complexion.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact in Bronze is a palette of eyeshadows, but a sweep with a large brush across the lot deposits the perfect glowing terracotta to lighten up any face. Keep eyes subtle with a bone shade of shadow and lengthening mascara. Then, for a cheeky pop of ‘you can’t catch me’ colour a lick of coral red lipstick will add some bite. The aptly named ‘Lady Danger’ from MAC Cosmetics will do nicely.
