Susan wasn’t aware of the recent furore over 15 year old Disney star Miley Cyrus and the controversial Annie Leibovitz photoshoot, but said “It’s kinda hard to bug Hannah Montana when there are kids in their underwear on the sides of buses’ Asked by a ten year old schoolboy for a picture, Susan quipped “Would you ever do a photo with Annie Leibovitz?”

Susan has a film with Pierce Brosnan coming up, but no immediate plans to tread the boards in London, “That’s really scary, that idea for me!” and says she’s ‘sung badly in at least six films’, so we’re guessing musicals are off the cards for now.

A thumbs up was the best to be had from a typically quiet Guy Ritchie and children, but a gorgeous Tamara Eccleston was happy to discuss her party planning skills for sister Petra, who is launching a menswear line called ‘Form’ at the Amber Lounge in Cannes.

With the last of the crowd ushered into the screening, and John Goodman and Emile Hirsch scooted past us, there was just time to catch up with film’s producer Joel Silver. His current production ‘Ninja Assassin’ is now being filmed and Joel hopes to produce ‘Wonder Woman’ soon. “It’s taken me twenty years to make [Speed Racer], so I hope it doesn’t take that long!

“Speed Racer is a great film, I’ve been trying to make it for a long time and it’s a fun, really true family movie… a movie that the family should see together and enjoy together. I’m really proud of it. It’s an incredible looking movie, and it’s really worth seeing.”
