Isles of Scilly

28 miles off the coast of Cornwall, the whole of the Scilly Isles are designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty.
What to do?
With more beaches that you can shake a stick and beautiful views all round, its sun-bleached sands offer an ideal opportunity to chill out and relax. There are loads of walking routes all around the islands for those a bit more active and ample opportunity for snorkling, sailing or other watersports.

For pure indulgence, look no further than the Island Hotel on Tresco set in its own manicured gardens and private beach.

How to get there?
St. Mary's, the main island is only 6 miles square. You can get a boat or even a helicopter from the mainland. The helicopter enables you to take in some spectacular views of the island, but the boat does have some wonderful sights as ithe island comes into view.
