Ashish
20.02.2008The eclectic tones of Coco Rosie were the perfect musical accompaniment for the eye-catching kaleidoscope of a show in the BFC tent. Inspired by disaffected Mid-Western Americana, (think Vegas after the buzz dies) the Ashish collection displayed stunning shift dresses, shorts, trousers and cheese hole tops.
Accessories played a huge part in the colourful, almost feminist collection with cherries and nipple tassels hanging from sweatshirts, quirky glasses and patchwork caps. Highlights of the show included a pink dogtooth shift dress, a woven tartan jumper and the white shoe-boots with built in lights that flashed energetically when the lights went down.
Credit to the extraordinarily talented Georgina Graham (who pinched numerous cigarettes off us backstage - very 'fashion' darrrling) - Chief Make up Director on this show, the Modernist show in Mayfair and a number of other shows.
A designer to watch I would certainly say, but don't just take my word for it, Sophie Ellis Bexter and Patti Wilson (front row fodder) thought so too.
